Hello everyone,

North Muskegon Elementary has had a very strong start to the school year!  I am so honored to work here and be a part of our childrens’ lives.  Our students have all been shown how to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible throughout our school and they are practicing it, continuing to impress us with their positive behavior.  Of course, they wouldn’t be the kids they are today without your help and support - thank you!

Thank you also for your patience, flexibility, and understanding while we get this school year kicked off!  This includes arrival and departure times so far this year.  Generally speaking, I am quite pleased with how it has gone thus far!  I want to give a particular shout-out to parents who park slightly further away in places like the Methodist Church and walk their children over - it is helping with congestion!

With that in mind, here are some transportation-related updates:

  1. Please do not drop off students on the north side of Moulton Avenue.  Instead, you can park on the playground’s parking lot and they can walk from there using the crosswalk

  2. Please make sure students cross at crosswalks!  This is true everywhere but especially on Moulton Avenue

As ever, we need your help to keep all our children safe!

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or new ideas to share.

Yours,
Jonathan Allen
North Muskegon Elementary Principal
