Curriculum

Academic Excellence at NM Elementary: At North Muskegon, we provide a robust and vertically aligned curriculum designed to challenge and support every student. Our teachers utilize research-backed maps to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction at every grade level.

Literacy Update: We are currently preparing to launch a new, evidence-based reading curriculum (EL or Bookworms) in the Fall of 2025.

Progress Monitoring: We track student growth using the NWEA MAP Growth test (Math & Reading), DIBELS 8 (Literacy) to ensure every child is on the path to success, 

Personalized Math Practice: To supplement our core instruction, students utilize Khan Academy Learning Paths. This system directly links their NWEA MAP results to a customized practice experience, providing tailored support that matches each student's specific needs and pace.
